Pre-adoption meet and greet deposit - this is to limit cancellations

We are all volunteers so we plan appointments and intakes in advance, when someone cancels last minute not only do we waste time, but we lose adoptions that we could have had for that cat.. With the huge number of last minute cancellations and no shows we have put a $50 deposit in place to assure your meet and greet. This is forfeited if you cancel less 24 hours (1 day) from your appointment.

We actually dont want to do this at all. We would rather people show up. But it is incredibly distressing on our team when we book staff and cats get allocated to an adoption meet only for them to cancel last minute and we lose the chance to adopt, which means another cat dies that we cannot rescue.

We will refund this if you show up for your meet and greet, either against your adoption fee or by refund if you choose not to adopt, that is totally ok. We dont need the money, we need people to turn up for their appointments.
